This intensive day-long writers’ workshop is invaluable for honing your writing skills. A regular twice-yearly fixture in the ChipLitFest calendar, and co-hosted with pennyshorts.com, Trade Secrets will introduce you to debut novelists and award-winning writers, and help you pitch your ideas to a literary agent.

Editor, journalist and now debut novelist, Stacey Halls will discuss her book The Familiars and tell the story of her path to publication.

Vaseem Khan's crime series, The Baby Ganesh Agency, takes the reader into the heart of modern India. The fourth in the series, Murder at the Grand Raj Palace, is the best yet. He has also written a Quick Reads title as well as working at UCL in the Crime Science department.

Oli Munson is a literary agent at AM Heath. He represents a wide range of authors with a particular focus on commercial fiction. His feedback could make the difference between manuscript and publication.

Delegates can submit 250 words in advance about their novel and the first page, for Oli’s considered feedback and advice.

If you have any questions about this event, please get in touch with editor@pennyshorts.com

Additional funding has allowed us to reduce to £65 the usual price for this high-value, intensive day.
