This intensive day-long writers’ workshop is invaluable for honing your writing skills. A regular twice-yearly fixture in the ChipLitFest calendar, and co-hosted with, Trade Secrets will introduce you to debut novelists and award-winning writers, and help you pitch your ideas to a literary agent.

Debut novelist and publishing consultant Molly Flatt will discuss her book The Charmed Life of Alex Moore and reveal the latest publishing trends.

Kit de Waal’s first novel, My Name is Leon, took the book world by storm in 2016. A great champion of unheard voices, Kit campaigns for fellow writers as well as for her marginalised characters.

Jo Unwin runs her own literary agency with a wide-ranging list from debut children’s authors to best-selling novelists. Her feedback could make the difference between manuscript and publication.

Attendees can submit 250 words in advance about their novel and the first page, for Jo’s considered feedback and advice.
