For the fifth year running we will be giving two year 5/6 classes from schools in the Chipping Norton Schools Partnership the opportunity to work with a children’s author and write their own short stories. This year we are thrilled to have Robin Stevens, the award-winning, best-selling author of The Murder Most Unladylike Mysteries and The Guggenheim Mystery. Robin will be working with Charlbury and Bledington Primary Schools.

The children’s stories will then be published and given to the children, following their own book launch. Participating children have been thrilled to see their own stories and illustrations published in a ‘proper book’ and even the most reluctant writers have enthusiastically shared their stories with friends and family.

For the last three years, the Book Trade Charity has generously funded School Shorts but we are now looking for a new funder for future editions.
