My Pen is the Wing of a Bird is the first anthology of short fiction by Afghan women. Unique but universal, their stories are of family, work, friendship, war, identity and cultural traditions. Collected over two years through UNTOLD's Write Afghanistan project, they come at a crucial moment for these voices to be heard.
Joining us to talk about the stories and the project are Zari Kargar, one of the translators, Lucy Hannah, the founder of UNTOLD, and, if circumstances allow, Lyse Doucet who wrote the introduction. The evening will be hosted by Caroline Sanderson.
