In a pit-stop festival performance, we are really lucky to have poet, author and musician Salena Godden joining us in the midst of her LIVEwire tour to perform a selection of work from Fishing in the Aftermath and Springfield Road. One of the most exciting spoken word performers, Salena's event HAS to be experienced.

Salena's essay, 'Shade', is included in the extraordinary and ground breaking bestseller, The Good Immigrant.

LIVEwire has just been shortlisted for the Poetry Society's Ted Hughes Award. From the judges: “This CD captures the best of a live presence – at turns moving, powerful and unflinching – which is hard for an award to recognise. It provides a gateway to poetry that is too easily dismissed as ‘spoken word’, but is an essential part of our poetry culture.”
