Jane Martin and Rebeccah Giltrow are The Wordy Birds from Southwold and Lowestoft Radio www.southwoldcommunityradio.com and they may not seem the obvious broadcasters to cover Chipping Norton Literary Festival. But Jane has been coming to the Festival since its second year and brought Rebeccah along in 2016 and now they are part of the ChipLitFest world despite having to cross the country to get to us.

Jane describes herself as “the intrepid woman on the mobility scooter, braving the precipitous terrain of Chipping Norton in thirsty pursuit of literary pearls of wisdom” She is also an unpaid recruiter of ChipLitFest fans for which we are extremely grateful. So when she and Rebeccah asked to interview some of the speakers we were very happy to oblige as were a number of our authors.

Gathered below are the links to four interviews, performance poet Salena Godden; the 2017 New Voices panel comprising Harriet Cummings, Wyl Menmuir and Abir Mukherjee; much-loved Festival interviewer Jane Wenham-Jones; and Festival founder and psychological thriller best-seller, Clare Mackintosh.

When you listen in, you'll also get a chance to hear Jane and Rebecca's mini-soap, called Eastpointers, and if you get hooked, you can catch up with earlier editions.

Big thanks to The Wordy Birds for their support of ChipLitFest and their dedication to getting author interviews onto the airwaves.
