Pete Paphides

Pete Paphides is a music writer, broadcaster and record collector whose work has been published in The Times, The Guardian, The Observer, Mojo and Q. He has interviewed several major recording artists over the years, including David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, Fleetwood Mac and Abba. In 1997, he managed to persuade the Bee Gees to sing an outgoing answerphone message for him, but when he asked Arnold Schwarzenegger to record one, he was forcibly ejected from the room.

Pete has also written and presented many music documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and hosted two series of Vinyl Revival for BBC 6 Music. He currently hosts a weekly music show for Soho Radio and lives in North London with his wife and two daughters.
