Mancunian Nicholas Royle is the editor of The Best British Short Stories, now in its sixth year. Nicholas is the author of seven novels, and has published a short story collection of his own, Mortality. He has edited sixteen anthologies, including A Book of Two Halves and Neonlit: Time Out Book of New Writing. He is also Commissioning Editor of Salt Publishing and runs Nightjar Press, which published individual short stories in chapbook format. He lives between London and Manchester and teaches creative writing at MMU.
