Ginny Davis

Ginny worked as a translator and then as a barrister before becoming a full-time writer and performer for theatre. Her first plays formed a series of one-woman comedies inspired by her observations and experience as a stay at home mother. Of these Ten Days .. that shook the Kitchen and Double Booked were both total sell outs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Double Booked gained a best theatre production nomination at the Buxton Fringe. In 2016 Learned Friends, a courtroom drama, won Best Original Piece at Birminghamfest. It has had sell out audiences at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) and Crown Courts at Birmingham, Warwick and Stafford.  Ginny is a regular speaker to WI groups and community audiences. She writes from experience and observation and thus her most recent play Arrows of Desire is set in a rural WI.
